About The Event



Open to anyone under the age of 18, Students will learn what it is like to be a part of a Mounted Police and Canine Unit!

We will be hosting a mock search and rescue training day on the Island. Students will participate in 3 rounds of rescue operations and participate directly with St. Joseph County and Detroit Police Mounted Units as well as Canine Search & Rescue Units. Held in conjunction with the Mackinac Island Police Department, students will learn to run the Command Center, be a search Team Member and be a participant in need of Emergency Help.


Adult Volunteers are always welcome to help us keep the day running smoothly - so please consider joining your student and volunteer for the day!
