Scholarship for Mackinac Island Public School Graduates
The Mackinac Horsemen’s Association is pleased to offer a $500 scholarship to a Mackinac Island Public School graduating senior or graduate who is pursuing education in an equine-related field. The student is eligible whether pursuing a two or four year college degree, or a degree or license in an equine-related field such as Equine Management, Veterinary Sciences, Farrier Studies, Professional Driving or Riding.
Eligible candidates must be a high school senior or MIPS graduate with at least two years of attendance there, have a 2.0 GPA, and plan to continue his or her education/training beyond high school in any accredited equine-based training, licensing or certification program or institution of higher learning.
Completed application forms and materials must be submitted to or can be mailed to P. O. Box 462 3800 British Landing Road Mackinac Island, MI 49757.
Materials must be submitted by 5:00pm April 12, 2018.
The recipients(s) will be notified May 1, 2018.

Our mission is to generate enthusiasm for horses and preserves the island’s unique equine culture, and this scholarship embodies this goal.”
